HOW WE DO THINGS

Who We Are
Aztalan Engineering is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) serving the Medical, Aerospace, Energy, Defense, and Fire Fighting Equipment markets. We machine parts used for general anesthesia, drug delivery, cancer treatment, implantable parts, nuclear power generation and much more. We do our best work machining complex parts that have unique requirements and narrow tolerances. We are skilled at machining most materials and give you traceability through detailed records. We strive to machine complete families of parts with runs from 50 to 1000+ to optimize our process and keep your price down.  We have been named to Inc. Magazine's 500/5000 fastest-growing private companies in North America in 2008 and 2009.

On-Time Delivery
Aztalan Engineering will keep your production running smoothly. Our controlled and validated processes give you peace of  mind. While our processes are standardized, we also have the flexibility to handle exceptions and changes that are the reality of doing business.

Superior Workmanship
At Aztalan Engineering we have a passion and pride in our workmanship. We employ experienced machinists and continuously reinvest to equip them with the latest in machine tool technology. We have assembled an impressive list of equipment but more importantly, we know how to use them effectively. Our cutting edge manufacturing software integrates all aspects of the manufacturing process, from order entry and scheduling to real time monitoring of machine performance.

Absolute Quality
At Aztalan Engineering our ISO 13485, ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 certifications are not just an accreditation, it is our way of doing business. Each employee is responsible for understanding and supporting their role in the Quality System. The State of Wisconsin has acknowledged our commitment to quality by recognizing us as a Certified Precision Machine Shop.

Pricing
Our belief is that the price paid for our service is directly related to the benefits you receive. Our competitive pricing is developed by conducting a thorough time study analysis. This involves setup, process, and tooling based on the necessary operations and material. Machining, testing and material handling times are calculated based on known feeds, speeds and part density rates. This total is then factored by the company's burden rate and profit margin and then factored again based on market value.

By using concurrent engineering with DFMA software we will optimize part features, materials and design work flow so parts fit into an efficient profile and process to lower cost. At the end of the day this allows us to work with your purchasing managers regarding predicted cycle times and costs, rather than haggling over margins and profits.
